Hounds For Haiti

Did you say HOUNDS for Haiti?
My vet pal Dr V of pawcurious recently wrote:
“But when I turned on the news [about the devastating earthquake in Haiti], all that frustration evaporated as I was confronted with true suffering. None of this stuff we muck around with in our day to day lives seems as important when you realize how fortunate you are to be safe and warm, tooling around on the internet feeling sorry for yourself.”
Way to put words into action, Dr V! Some you may remember my interview of this Dr V – she blogs, writes of life as a vet, her pets, and causes such as rescue and adoption. At the time of the interview, she was gearing up to do a 24-hour blogathon to help shelter pets.
This time, she has gathered people together to raise funds on eBay to help earthquake victims in Haiti. I am donating some beads, and several others have committed items and services, too. The auctions start tomorrow – 4 bead auctions plus many more from other contributors. I will post the auction URLs here – they start between 8 and 9 am, Tuesday, January 19. All proceeds go to the Red Cross to support earthquake relief efforts.
