Glass Beads

Update 7/9/09: @VAStateParks was the winner of this BarkHunt prize. The brown dog face in the lower left of this photo was selected. Congratulations!

Update 6/6/09:

I am participating in this week’s Twitter Barkhunt! The winner will choose one of the beads below. I will wire it up (if it isn’t already) and ship it to the winner.

Flameworked Glass Beads (Lampwork) by me

This is my “other job” and passion — making glass beads. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do. My brain seems to go in waves between the technical veterinary / web stuff and the more creative and colorful stuff, like making beads.

Now that this site is up, I had time to make a few more beads this week. I felt a bit rusty and burned my thumb a little bit, but it is better now. :)
